Duty Calculators
A sale or transfer of land or a business in NSW is generally
liable to stamp duty. Stamp Duty is also payable on
a mortgage for investment purposes, although it has
now been abolished in respect of owner occupied housing.
The Office of State Revenue (OSR) collect the duty on
behalf of the New South Wales Government. The purchaser
is responsible for the payment of any stamp duty and
within certain time limits. In broad terms duty is assessed
on the value of the property transferred.

calculator. This calculator will estimate the amount
of duty you need to pay on the sale or transfer.

There are some exemptions to the
duty that would normally be payable. For example the
first Home Plus Scheme provides exemptions or concessions
on transfer duty.
